ECOSphere Centre (Environmental Complex Of Sensations) is a concept for an entertainment and exhibition complex designed to stimulate the senses and the mind. The Centre is an adaptive-reuse of the United States Pavilion at the 1967 World Exposition. The project evolved from an investigation of fantasy and entertainment architecture. The human experience of environments involves the five senses and how one perceives light and movement in space over time. The permanent and changing spaces that are part of ECOSphere engage critical use and a heightening of the senses. In addition, technology adds to the fascination of the experiences. The concept is to create a micro-environment for one to explore, disengaged from the reality of the world outside. Within, a restaurant, nightclub, theater and exhibits become function of this exploration. ECOSphere Centre is a complex of environments where sensory experiences become a playground for the mind.
